Darian’s Many Expressions
Later, Darian had some fun with daddy.
At lunch time, I fed him his carrots!
Previously, Darian was getting more of his baby food on me than actually in his mouth. A lady that goes to our church showed me this hold. One of his arms is trapped behind me, and the other arm is held hostage by my hand. Pretty much all of his food made it into his mouth, and he ate an entire jar full of carrots. Wow. Then he nursed and drank all of the milk. He’s a really hungry boy. And he absolutely will not eat if he isn’t hungry, so it’s not like he’s being greedy!
I’m happy that we started giving him solid food. He just wasn’t satisfied before. I know that it’s recommended to wait until the 6th month to introduce solid foods, but the doctor said that my very active 5th month old needed the food. So we got started on it asap. I was a little upset when I was buying the food because the 6th month waiting period is so highly recommended. Then Hector reminded me (again) that it’s not an exact science. He made me laugh when he told me that those scientist change their minds every couple years anyway. I feel good about making the best decisions with the best information that we have. I mean, what else can we be expected to do?
