Stop to Smell the Flowers

Darian and I stopped on our way home from the Foreigner’s Office to smell the flowers.
They were so pretty, and he couldn’t see them from his stroller,
so I took him out. They reminded me of the flowers from Alice in Wonderland.
Announcement: Darian is now a legal resident of Germany.
This is Darian wincing away from the new baby food I got him today.
That spoon can be pretty scary if you don’t like what’s on it.
Poor guy. At first, I wonder if it’s just new, so he’s getting use to it.
I stopped when it became absolutely clear that he didn’t like it.
I made a video of him trying the potato, pea, cauliflower, and carrot mix that
he did not like. And then I made a video of him eating his carrots after.

I tried one last bite after this video. He started gaging and spit the bite all out.
Too bad I missed that. Well, he didn’t like ’em. Good I know that now.
It was hard to get him to open his mouth again for his carrots.
But once he tasted a little, he didn’t want to stop! I couldn’t get the food in fast enough.

So far, he only likes carrots and carrots with potato.
I think we’ll just stick to that until he gets bored and wants to try something new.
I think he’s just happy with those carrots.
He doesn’t even like his night time cereal, and I’ve tried a couple!
He’s getting everything else he needs from the milk still,
so it’s okay if he just eats carrots. Right? At least it’s a vegetable.
Man. Darian is a lot of fun. I love all his noises, expressions, and most of all his personality.
He’s always making me crack up.
I wonder if that makes him as happy as I get when I make him laugh.
