Tour of Starnberg

Today we went on a bicycle tour of Starnberg. Our main highlights were the palace and church on the hill. It was a very steep climb up the hill, but totally worth it for such a beautiful view.

Two of our friends in our ward took us up to the church last week. They decided to see if the husband’s grandmother’s grave was still there. When they said that, I was thinking, “Still there????” Apparently, they dig 20 feet deep graves or so, and after you don’t renew your grave spot for ten years, your spot is up for grabs and the next body goes on top of yours and your grave stone is removed and replaced with someone else’s. I was a bit surprised. When I explained how we do things in Los Angeles, they thought it was a serious waste of space… spreading those graves out all over the place.
