Baby ASL on our Blog
I decided to post a new sign that we do or are learning each day or so. I hope that this will help us blog on a regular schedule. Speaking of staying regular, today’s sign is poop.
I’m doing a second sign today because while playing peek-a-boo, I guess I excited Darian into peeing in his diaper. He stopped playing the game and got distressed. He then showed us his version of the “change” sign. He’s 5 months old and started doing this sign around 3 months. I don’t think you need to wait to start teaching you baby sign until they are 7 or 8 months.
Here’s the video of me doing the sign:

I have so many pictures of Darian smiling and laughing, but none of him crying. So here are some of him crying. After taking a couple, he was pretty annoyed with me for taking so long to get him out of his swing. But he looks so cute! haha
A couple hours later, I put him back in his swing, and he went to sleep in it. He’s all snuggled up with a blanket from his Great Aunt Melissa.
I made taking a bath part of his night, night routine. Not because I wash him every night (I think that’s a little much for his sweet baby skin), but because he LOVES to play in the water. He kicks his legs, grabs all of his toys, and splashes the water every where. It’s perfect for getting a lot of his energy out before going to bed. Plus he looks, so cute in the bath. It’s both our favorite times of the day.
