Hamburg!
For Christmas, my parents gave us 2 vouchers for a round trip with the Deutsche Bahn, good for anywhere in Germany. It was was a tough choice deciding where to go. Top on our list were Weimar, Berlin, and Hamburg. We decided for Hamburg. So why Hamburg? We haven’t been there yet and we’ve heard it was a nice city.
6 1/2 hours on a speeding Intercity Express (ICE) train and we were in Hamburg. Even though weoverslept and missed our original train it all worked out pretty nice. Darian is quite the little trainrider. And he loves his carrots. Trains and carrots…he is in heaven.
On our first day, we walked around the historic downtown. It was pretty nice. Our favorite was definitely the old town hall. Luckily, it was not destroyed during WWII.
We love spending the day walking around and admiring the beautiful buildings. There is such history and charm in these old buildings. I love it.
For some deliciousness, we stopped and ate at an Indian restaurant. Adelaide ate, I ate, and so did Darian-carrots and potatoes that is.
I love taking pictures…
