Noah & the Toy Store!

Almost every morning, I practice my saxophone while Darian plays around my room. I shut and lock the door to the stairs and close the bathroom door, so he doesn’t get into any trouble. Recently, he’s been more interested in the music than all the little places he can sneak into and things he can find. He’s been pulling himself up onto the chair and then holding onto the rail of my saxophone and listening while I play. It’s a miracle he hasn’t knocked any of my teeth out yet. He really wanted to give playing the saxophone a shot today, so I showed him that I was blowing into it, and then he tried. He got the blowing part down, but I’m afraid it will be a very long time until his lungs will be big enough to make a sound. He then started to blow his own sounds into the neck of the saxophone. Very cute.
While he took his nap, I called around to find where I could buy a recorder. Noah and I went to a music store near by after Darian woke up and bought his first recorder. He got some really small squeaks out of it, but he didn’t quite think he was ready for it, so he kept handing it to us to play. We were close by a toy store that Noah and I went to as children, so we decided to take Darian. It was a lot of fun!

I have a feeling he’s going to love his first birthday when he gets some new toys!!
